Myself and two other family member's have this phone and I HATE it. Not only is the battery life HORRIBLE, the phone freezes periodically and Navigation only works about 1/2 the time because it's "searching for GPS signal". When Navigation does work, it continously loses GPS signal which as you can imagine is a problem if you are relying on the Navigation for directions. If two other members of my family weren't having the same problems, I'd assume there was something wrong with my phone, but I know that's not the case, since all three of us have the same problem. I don't even have very many apps on my phone and the battery life is a problem. I was recently with coworkers that have a new iphone and I had to charge my phone twice and theirs still didn't need to be charged and this was just during one workday. While I do like some aspects of this phone, the negative definitely outweigh the positive and now all three of us will have to deal with it until our 2 year contracts are over!

Great phone at a fabulous price! Battery life could be better but that's really a function of all the apps that you download. Screen is great and functions all work as advertised. May buy another to add onto my family plan which now consists of 3 of these phones and 1 of the new 3D version because of the price/value. LetsTalk.com is the place to go for great prices and service.

The phone is fine, the battery life is sub-par, and the Sprint network is not great. However they have the best phones on the market and the best plans for your money. The network service isn't great; too many dropped calls and always out of network. They need to merge with someone or improve thier network.

I bought 2 of these phones. They worked great at the beginning. However, now the touch screen is always freezing up. Can not answer calls, or back out of applications. Text messageing never works. Both phones receive messages hours or days later or not at all. When touch pad is working it is too sensitive and turns call volume down so incoming calls or texts can not be heard. I bought this phone becuase my Blackberry from Sprint always worked where I live. The Epic did and now does not. Has totally turned me off android phones. Plus you pay more for data and get nothing

I love my Samsung Epic phone, I just hate the battery. I did buy a extended battery, which lasts a little longer.

No spell check. No picture designing software installed. You have to crop before sharing pictures(if you want them to stay the same position you took em). Not a lot of options for the keyboard and backlight timer. In order to close apps, you have to go to task manager(which can be very annoying if you have a lot of apps open). You can not change your camera setting and have the flash on at the same time. Battery life sucks if you're an internet or music person(4hrs and I had the internet and email app open). No extended battery life(usually when phones say your battery is dead, it usually takes sometime before the radio cuts off. Oh, and don't even think about using it while its charging, cause it already takes long enough charging as it is.)You don't have control over how long it takes for your phone to lock (if you decide for it to lock). Picture quality is best when you're turning the camera towards you, rather than you using reversed picture taking option. Sometimes you have to press the screen a billion times before it responds(I think that's all touch screens though). Seems as if either your 4g works or you're screwed (really hate that, like what ever happened to 3g?). Setting up email, can be such a nuisance! Kinda stiff keyboard buttons. But overall, I really hate the time it takes to charge, the need for cropping your pics before sharing them, the non-picture designing friendly, the no spell check, the 4g issue(apps and internet keeps constantly needing to be forced close), the no control over the phone lock timing, and the screen and keyboard backlight stuff. Love the accuracy of the voice search! I just think the design is to die for(nothing sexier than metallic black; touch screen with buttons that don't even appear to be there, until touched! Love the access to such an abundance of apps(and free at that)! Somewhat like the task manager(only cause it allows you to see what apps are open, and close em all at once-but can also be very annoying if you're only closing certain apps).
